Light Guide Film uses a thin piece of polycarbonate or acrylic with a white reflector on one side and laser etched or printed dot matrix on the other side. These will be lit by side firing LEDs. The benefit of this technology is that it utilizes the minimum amount of LED’s to backlight a bigger area and minimizes hot spots. It can also be used over metal domes.
